Adelle Bradley Miller

TRINITY – Services for Adelle Bradley Miller, 90, were held at 1 p.m. Wednesday, December 29, 2010, at the Waller-Thornton Funeral Home in Trinity, Texas with the Rev. Randy Lowe officiating. Burial followed in Trinity Cedar Grove Cemetery.

Mrs. Miller died on Christmas Day, December 25, 2010. She was born January 19, 1920 in Trinity, the daughter of Mr. And Mrs. Joe S. Thornton. She was a graduate of Trinity High School and she attended Port Arthur Business College.

After college, she moved to Freeport to work for South Western Bell Telephone Co. She worked for the company in Freeport, Huntsville and then retired after 30 years in Lake Jackson.

Mrs. Miller was an auxiliary member of BPUE 1832 Elks, a life time auxiliary member of the VFW Post 4395 in Pasadena, auxiliary member of American Legion Post 521 in Pasadena, a member of the Gulf Coast P E R ladies auxiliary and a life time member of AT&T & Pioneers Club.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her three husbands, W.T. Franks, Robert Bradley and Judge Edd Miller; her sister, Erma Matthews; two brothers, Hollis Thornton and his wife Inez and Aaron Thornton; and one special nephew, Charles VanDyke. Survivors included many nieces and nephews.
