This infant was named, but name had been broken off his grave marker - according to Platte County Cemetery Records of Shirley Kimsey, who also records his age as 5 weeks at his death on September 7, 1901. He was buried at the Yocam Cemetery near the edge of the Missouri River bluffs south of the Platte-Buchanan county line. His marker is not currently apparent.

The infant's father was James S. Johnson (1852-1913). His first wife, Mary, had died at age 15 and is buried in Yocam Cemetery. James' second marriage was to Clara Evelyn Chapin (1871-1969), daughter of Silas Jasper Chapin (1835-1902) and Elizabeth A. Middleton Chapin (1843-1917).

The infant was survived by his parents, James and Clara Chapin, his maaternal grandfather - Silas Jasper Chapin, and a five-year older brother - Silas Averd Ross Johnson (1896-1924.) Two years after his death his parents would also have another son, Roy Johnson, in 1903.

The infant's parents are buried at nearby Sugar Creek Cemetery in Buchanan County.

Per old records, stone was inscribed: "Gone but not forgotten."
