Moses and Noah mother made a 911 call at 12:39 pm on Friday. She said two of her six children were not breathing.
"When officers and paramedics arrived they discovered the two 3-month old identical twins boys. Moses and Noah Abdus-Sabri were deceased in the apartment." said Chif Tim Fitch of the Louis County Police.
Yolanda was a 29 year old mother of sis children, five sons -- ages 2, 4, 5 and the twins born on Mother's Day, and a 8 year old daughter.
"Everyone kept joking that now I had a basketball team and cheerleader," she says.
They later determined that the eight year old daughter sneaked into the twins bedroom and got the babies out of their cribs. She then took them to her room, and tried to wrap them up with her. It was the positioning they were in (under the covers) and they kept breathing in the same air.
Yolanda Harrington-Sabir says her twin had distinct personalities.
"Noah was very happy, radiculously happy. He was always smiling," his mother says. "Moses was very good at getting your attention. He'd coo so you'd pick him up. Then he squeeze you back.
Harrington-Sabir said she still in shock and often wakes up at night looking for the twins. Harrington-Sabir, a Muslim, prepared her babies' bodies for burial and wrapped them in strips of white cotton. She said they were buried in individual white coffins at Lake Charles Park Cemetery. In her Muslim faith, she says, Allah wants her to show patience in knowing that one day she will see children again.
"I'm not there yet," she says. "I want them here. I want to see their smiles and smell their curly hair."
Noah is the one on the right, and Moses is the one on the left with the green pacifier in his mouth.
