Nathan Bassett was the son of William Bassett (b.1702) and Anna Mayhew (b.1710).
Nathan Bassett, served in the Revolutionary War. He made application for a Revolutionary War pension (file number S28634) and his declaration was dated 3 Nov 1836 when he was 85 years of age. Nathan's declaration states: "He was born on the 15th day of August 1751 and has a record of his age in his possession; and was a Native of Martha's Vineyard in the County of Dukes in the town of Chilmark and State of Massachusetts. He left Martha's Vineyard about 42 years  last April and came to Florida in Montgomery County and State of New York, where he has since resided."
Nathan Bassett was 90 years of age, 2 months and 15 days when he died.
