William Ferranti,63,of Roberts avenue, South Corning, was found dead in his home Wednesday afternoon.
Born in Italy March 29,1882, son of Mr. and Mrs. Michael Ferranti, he came to this country and settled in Addison in 1900. He married Ellen Allen of Addison in 1901. They moved to Corning in 1913 and she died here February 22,1933. Mr.Ferranti, until his retirement about five year ago, was an employe of the New York Central Railroad.
Surviving are two sons, Staff Sergeant Joseph J.Allen, now with the Army Air Force in France and Private William Michael Ferranti with the Army Ordnance in Europe, six daughters, Mrs. Michael Carlineo, Mrs. Stanley Fish, Mrs. Louis Quagliana, Mrs. Henry Castro, Miss Julia Ferranti and Miss Catherine Ferranti, all of Corning, And 15 grandchildren.
The body was removed to the Sarsfild-Beilby Funeral Home where friends may call today between 2:30 and 5 and 7 and 9:30 p.m. The Rev.Dr.E.J.Stuart, pastor emeritus of First Presbyterian Church, will conduct funeral services from the funeral home Friday at 2 p.m.
