HEFLIN Roy Jefferson Allen, 83, of Heflin Rt. 1, died today at Cleburne Community Medical Center after an extended illness.

Services will he Sunday at 1 p.m. at Pinetucky Baptist Church. The Rev. Monroe Lipscomb will officiate. Burial will follow in Heflin City Cemetery. Dryden Funeral Home of Heflin is in charge of arrangements.

The family will receive friends until 9p.m. tonight. The body will be at the church 30 minutes prior to the service.
Survivors include his wife. Mrs. Essie Allen of Heflin: a daughter. Mrs. Sylvia Lipscomb of Heflin: a son, Jimmy Allen of Peachtree City. Ga.: two sisters. Mrs. Elma Sutton and Mrs. Eunice Hanvey. both of Heflin: and two brothers Vertis Allen and John A, Allen, both of Heflin; four grandchildren: one great-grandchild; several nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be David Lipscomb. Harold Lipscomb. James Allen, Ronald Kimbrell. Bill Prestridge: and Lendon Fields.
Mr. Allen was a native and lifelong resident of Cleburne County. He was a member of Pinetucky Baptist Church.
