Antonio V. "Tony" Aguilar, 74, Kansas City, MO died Monday, August 5, 2013 at St. Luke's Hospital on the Plaza.
Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:00 a.m. Friday, August 9 at Our Lady of Guadalupe Shrine, 901 Cesar Chavez Avenida, KCMO. Cremation to follow. Visitation will be from 8:30 a.m. until time of Mass at the Shrine.
Tony was born January 9, 1939 in Mexico to Enrique Aguilar and Maria de Jesus Villanueva.
He was a maintenance mechanic for the Kansas City Parks and Recreation department before retiring and becoming a "jack of all trades and master of none" to his family and neighbors.
He was also DJ on KKFI radio.
In addition to his parents, Tony was preceded in death by a daughter, Laura Aguilar, two brothers and two sisters.
Tony's survivors include five children [survivor information removed to protect their privacy]; the mother of his children, [name removed]; six grandsons, two granddaughters and two great grandchildren "on the way", all of Kansas City, MO; five brothers and one sister in California and Mexico.
