John (my Great Great Grandfather) was the son of John and Elizabeth (Loy) Foust. He married Margretta Louisa (Wayne) Foust on 15 February 1866 in Boydtown,Crawford county, Wisconsin,and had 10 children: Cyrena, Altha, Weltha, David, George, Estella (my Great Grandmother), John, Wallace, Mary and Chester. John was a Civil War veteran who served as a Private with Company H of Wisconsin's 44th Infantry Regiment. He enlisted on 1 February 1865 and was mustered out on 9 August 1865.
