Norvell is the son of John A. and Nancy (Carson) Allen.
His family moved between 1850-1860 to Wright County.
On July 15, 1870 he was joined in marriage to Naomi Refro in Houston, Texas, Missouri. To this union 8 children were born.
They farmed in the Norwood area, having their chidren.
1910 finds them in Mountain Grove farming with 3 grown children still with them.
He did not remarry after Naomi passed in 1910.
1920 he is still in Mountain Grove and living with one of his daughters, with her husband and family.
1930 he was living in Douglas County with one of his sons and his family.
Died from Old Age at 93 years, 7 months 11 days. Info from John Allen on Missouri Death Certificate #22552. Note year of birth different than what is on stone, as is place of birth. Going by Indiana, because that is what is in Family Trees and on all census'.
