Wife of J. Q. Adams (Possibly John Quincy Adams?)
Died--Adams--At her home west of Kirwin, Mrs. J. Q. Adams, on Tuesday morning December 27, 1898, aged 40 years, 8 months and 20 days.
Anna E. Sauer was born in Pennsylvania September 7, 1856. In early life her parents moved to Lee County, Illinois. From there she moved to Iowa where she married John Q. Adams February 7, 1876. She was a member of the U.B. Church. Her husband, a daughter and a son mourn her departure. Funeral services were held at the residence, and the remains were interred in the Kirwin Cemetery, Rev. Glick officiating. Mrs. Adams, a few weeks ago, had a slight stroke of paralysis, from which with the aid of a doctor, she particually recovered, but a sudden renewal Tuesday morning without warning resulted in her almost sudden death. We understand that Mrs. Adams' sister and family from the east arrived on the day of the funeral for a visit, but it was surely a sad one and far different from what was expected. The bereaved relatives have the sympathy of the entire community.
