Marvin Lee Acheson
Oregon State Police Capt. Marvin Lee Acheson, 48, of 4641 Harlan Drive NE, died Friday at his home after a sudden illness.
He was born in Lebanon. He was an Oregon state policeman 24 years and was a Korean War veteran. He attended Oregon State University, was a member of Elks and attended Free Methodist Church.
Survivors include wife, Paula R.; sons Steven Lee, Glen Alan, both Salem; mother Lois Lancaster, Dallas.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday in Free Methodist Church and interment in Restlawn Memory Gardens, under direction of Howell-Edwards-Doerksen mortuary.
The casket will be open 1-9 p.m. today, noon to 6 p.m. Sunday and 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday at the mortuary. The family suggests contributions to Oregon Heart Association.
