From the Skidmore, Missouri New Era, August 18, 1910, page 5, column 5:
The funeral of the little son of Mr. and Mrs. Ed Albright was held at the parents' home on Saturday afternoon at 3 o'clock, conducted by Rev. C. H. Sauceman, pastor of the M.E. church, who spoke words of tender sympathy and comfort of deepest Christian hope to the bereaved parents.
Robert Galen Albright was born September 2, 1908 and died Aug. 12, 1910, aged 1 year 11 months and 10 days.
Sometimes the bright and welcome little flowers that gladden our hearts in April droop and die ere the summer months have gone, but their delicate forms and sweet faces have inspired us to hope and perfumed our lives with thoughts of purity. It is even so with the tiny blossoms of humanity. Little Robert, although scarcely two years of age, has indelibly impressed his innocent, sweet and pure life on the hearts of his loving parents.
The sunshine of love could not warm his life nor the affection of parenthood beguile him from drooping. His little life went out, like the exhalation of a sweet fragrant minion of the woodland, and in his stead was left only a holy and beautiful memory - a memory that will last and sanctify as long as parental existence. All that was mortal of this little flower was laid to rest in the Masonic cemetery of Skidmore, by hands that had tried to make his young life happy."
