The old Greenard Cemetery (abt. Township 56, Range 34, Section 8) was on a dirt road running north-northeast out of Agency, through the Mary "Polly" Wood (Sons Bird, Jeremiah, Thomas, John) family lands (abt. 1840 - 1877), and up to Hwy. 169 (Hwy. 169 was the old Gower to St. Joe wagon road). The Greenard Cemetery was left in a field when the dirt road was abandoned.

Mary Jane is the daughter of William McConnel and Anna DeMorse (Smith) Whitson.

William is Alexander Whitson's brother. Their parents are Jessie and Elizabeth (McConnel) Whitson.

Alexander Whitson married Geals Donald Karnes and they had one daughter, Abigail Alexander. Abigail married Thomas Benton Wood. They had two children, John Alexander and Mary Angualine.
