Florence was the only child of Nora Fredericks-Blakney and Benjamin Blakney. Florence married James Arthur Ryan and together they bore 12 children. James Benjamin, Alice Marie, Lorraine Joan, *(two babies died; one unnamed and one girl named, Gloria), Betty Lou, Thomas Nolan, Jack Rodney, Richard Timothy, Arthur Patrick, Donna Lee and Kimberlee Anne-Marie Elisabeth. The eldest, James, died in 1980 and Jack died in 1988. Florence was a council woman two separate times in Passaic County and ran against her own cousin. She won both terms. James and Florence were married in Suffern, New York and she always joked about that, saying she suffered ever since. She was very faithful and they both are still together, only now in their graves after a long life with many children. The unusual thing to note too, is that Florence's last child, Kimberlee was born on the 12th of November, which was her 12th child and Florence died on the 12th day of the 12th month within the 12th hour. She was a beloved, sweet soul and loved babies and since she was an only child it seems she made up for that. She's so sadly missed and it's a shame she never got to see even more children born from her offsprings. She was never without a baby to hold. She would have been a great-great-great-great grandmother today. Her father's mother was a Montross/Montrose, french. Her mother was, Nora Fredericks, of American-Germanic-Scandinavian stock. She made everyone feel at home and they loved being around her. Even neighbors. I miss her so much! OXOXO
