Hiram Atwell, 82, of Jackson and Chase Bridge Road passed away at W. A. Foote Hospital in Jackson Monday, Oct. 9. He was born in Lapeer County April 5, 1890. He moved to Jackson from Grayling four years ago. Funeral services will be held at Sorenson Funeral Home at two o'clock Wednesday with Rev. Robert Barnett officiating. Burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery. A Candlelight Service was held Tuesday evening by the Moose Lodge 1162 of which he was a member. Pallbearers were from the Moose Lodge. Mr. Atwell is survived by one son, William of San Marcos, Texas three daughters, Mrs. Henry (Wilba) Davies of Victoria, B. C. Mrs. Charles (Helen) Barber of Grayling and Mrs. Richard (Bessie) Hartin of Jackson 26 grandchildren 70 great-grandchildren and four great-great-granchildren.
