Carthage - Loyd Benson Cook, 73, a farmer, died of heart failure Friday at Rush Hospital in Newton.
Services held at Jordan Funeral Home in Kosciusko with burial in Rocky Point Cemetery in Leake County.
Mr. Cook was a member of Big Springs Primitive Baptist Church.
Survivors include: wife, Annie Pearl; son, Robert Timothy Cook of Carthage; daughters, Jo Carol Parkerson of Pearl, Patricia Russell of Union, Barbara McCrory of Goodman, Paula McManus of Carthage and Cathy Dodds of Kosciusko; sisters, Mavice Simpson of Baton Rouge, Barton Truesdale of Rolling Fork, and Bob Sortwell of Jackson; and 14 grandchildren.
