Mrs. Rose Backenstose
Mrs. Rose Backenstose, widow of the late Levi Backentose, passed away at her home 315 Stuart avenue, Downingtown at 5 o'clock Monday afternoon. She was in the 79th year of her age and had been in ill health for a long time.
Mrs. Backenstose was a native of Berks county, but had resided in Downingtown for many years and had a host of friends. She was a member of Messiah Lutheran Church.
She is survived by the following children: Charles W., of Philadelphia, William B., Paul H., and Addie, wife of James H. Hurtt, all of Downingtown.
The funeral will take place on Thursday afternoon from the Keim and Wilson Funeral Home, with interment at Northwood Cemetery.
