"Granddaughter of Levi Warren and Abigail Hammond Warren"
Adrian Daily Times & Expositor, Dec. 31, 1889, p.3, column 3: "Obituary.--Mrs. M.H. Angevine.
Died--Sunday, December 29th, Mrs. M.H. Angevine, aged 72 years, 15 days. The funeral will be held Wednesday, January 1, 1890, at 2 p.m., legal time, at the residence, No. 104 South Main street.
"Mrs. Angevine had lived in this county since 1836 and for fifty-six years she and her husband had traveled life's path together in peace. Seven children were born to them, only two of whom remain, Frank and Allen, of St. Louis."
Adrian Weekly Press, Jan. 3, 1890, page 3, column 3:
"Mrs. Maria H., wife of our esteemed townsman Allen S. Angevine, died, at her home in this city, Sunday, Dec. 29th, aged 72 years. Mrs. Angevine and her husband had lived together 56 years, and were known among our most worthy old pioneer residents, having been in this county ever since Michigan was a state. Of a family of seven children, only two remain, one of whom, Frank, now of St. Louis, Neb.(sic), was here to attend the funeral, it being the first time in nearly 20 years that he had been home. In his sorrow, the venerable husband has the deep sympathy of many friends, who have so long known him and his estimable companion."
Her death certificate gives her birth date as Jan. 4, the same date as her husband.
Cemetery records gives the place of death as Palmyra, a small township just outside of Adrian, where the Angevines had relatives, so it is possible she died while visiting some other family members.
