Brandon McConnell BRAUNS
Brandon McConnell Brauns age 11 passed away peacefully on March 20, 2010 surrounded by his parents, close friends and family. Brandon spent most of his life fighting a brain tumor diagnosed just before his 4th birthday. He is dearly missed by his parents Kris Brauns and Jeff Brauns, Grandparents Rich and Dianne Forth, Skip and Judi Brauns, Gary Morrison and Theresa Nycz, and most of all by his dog Jet. He blessed the lives of many cousins, aunts and uncles and friends. Although Brandon's life was short he completed his mission on earth by spreading more love, compassion, thoughtfulness and friendship than most do in a long lifetime. Brandon taught everyone he met what it meant to be courageous, strong and to live. His life touched so many, and so many touched his life. Hiswit, "eye rolls", noogies and "crazy circles" were his terms of endearment. If he rolled his eyes at you then you knew you were in! Brandon was very proud of his dog Jet - his best friend, his Lego collection, his love of the WSU Cougars and his collection of planes and everything aviation.
Born in Austin, Texas, Brandon saw a lot of our country. Be it the vacations he loved to take or his trips to Memphis and Cincinnati for treatment, Brandon loved to travel. He logged many air miles and wanted to be a pilot when he was older. There is no better place than to earn your wings than in heaven. Brandon, you will be missed every second of every day and we will carry you in our hearts forever.
A celebration of Brandon's life will be on Saturday, March 27th at 11:00 a.m. at Canyon Hills Community Church, 22027 17th Avenue SE, Bothell. In lieu of flowers please make a donation at any Bank of America branch to the Brandon Brauns Goal Account #38133971.
