Grace was the daughter of Louis George Schauberger and Elizabeth A. Jones Schauberger. She was born on April 8, 1889 near Carmi, White County, Illinois. Her parents had met in Posey County, Indiana which is across the Wabash River in southwestern Indiana in the 1860s and her father established a farm there. A few years later, there was a migration of settlers to the White County, Illinois area and her parents with their two children George Wilson and Mary "Mollie" moved with them. Eva was raised on the family farm and when she was twenty-four she married (1) George Edward Wiegele on March 5, 1913 in White County. They had three children living at home by 1920: Geogine (5), Louis (4) and Mary M. (1). On September 3, 1924 she married (2) William Frederic Behler in White County, Illinois. No further information has been found concerning this second marriage. Grace passed away at Hazelwood, St Louis County, Illinois on May 20, 1983 and is buried at Maple Ridge Cemetery, Carmi, White County, Illinois.
