Anton G. ‘Bud' Bartole, 90, passed away April 21, 2013 in Lake Havasu City. He was born in Bismarck, N.D. Jan. 29, 1923, to Joseph and Elizabeth Bartole.

Bud had four sisters, two older and two younger, which gave him a deep and abiding love for his family growing up. He served with honor and distinction for his country during WWII in the Army Air Force from Feb. of 1943 through Sept. of 1945, with the rank of Technical Sergeant. He was assigned as Crew Chief on B-24 ‘Liberators' and flew 35 missions over Europe during his tenure in the service.

He married Ardis Mae Sather, the love of his life, on June 2, 1946, and their 67 years together is telling of their unconditional and profound love for each other. Bud retired from Bonneville Power in 1985, and together they moved to Lake Havasu City in 1989. His passion was woodworking on the lathe, and he took great joy in the artistry of handcrafting beautiful bowls, vases, jewelry and ornaments for his family and friends.

Bud was a devoted and loving husband, an unfailing and adored father and grandfather and a loyal and respected friend.

He leaves his wife Ardis Mae; identical twin daughters, Judie and Julie; grandchildren Matthew, Calle and Benjamin and his sisters, Betty and Josie.
