Funeral services for Ernest S. Anderson, 71, Nuckolls county (sic) assessor for the past 11 years, are to be held Friday morning at 10 o'clock in the First Presbyterian Church in Superior with the Rev. E. Ray Cameron officiating.
Mr. Anderson died early Tuesday morning at his home in Superior. Ill health had kept him out of his office here since Jan. 19.
With the exception of one year, Mr. Anderson has been active in Nuckolls county (sic) politics for the past 26 years. He was appointed county commissioner from the second district Oct. 7, 1935, a position he held for more than 13 years.
In 1949 he and Mrs. Anderson became the owners of a general store in Ruskin. He lived most of his life in Ruskin until the family moved to Superior in 1958. He was born Jan. 3, 1891.
Mr. Anderson became Nuckolls county (sic) assessor in 1950 and was serving his third term at the time of his death.
Survivors are his wife, Lillie, two sons, Allyn of Omaha and Sergeant Harold Dean of Fort Carson, Colo., and one daughter, Mrs. Alfred Swanstrom of Oak.
Burial will be made in Spring Creek cemetery (sic) at Ruskin.
