"Alfred Collins, who died from injuries and shock Saturday morning after his arm was caught in a mattress machine at the Carman Manufacturing Company where he was employed, was a native of France and had lived in the United States 40 years and in this community 24 years. He is survived by his wife, Melva ; two daughters, Mrs. Neil Hickok of Wilmington, NC, and Mrs. G.P. Sullivan of Port Townsend; four sons, Roy, Glen, Harvey and James, all of Tacoma, and five grandchildren. The C.C. Mellinger company will announce the funeral service."
