MAXINE FOUQUET ALSPAUGH
Homer, LA.-Funeral services will be held for Maxine Fouquet Alspaugh, 93, at the Chapel of Rose-Neath Funeral Home in Homer, Louisiana on Friday, January 13, 2012 at 10:00 a.m. with Dr. James Simeon, officiating. Interment will follow at Arlington Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday from 5:00-7:00 p.m.
Mrs. Alspaugh was born September 29, 1918 in Andale Kansas to Robert Cleveland Fouquet and Della Kropf Fouquet. She entered into rest Monday, January 9, 2012 at her home following a lengthy illness. Mrs. Alspaugh was a homemaker and she enjoyed painting, flowers and needlework. Mamaw Maxine was the loving matriarch of a large close knit family, one of nine children and cherished the time she spent with her family, especially her grandchildren, great-grandchildren and her great-great-grandson.
Mrs. Alspaugh was preceded in death by her husband, George Alspaugh; her parents; also brothers Bob and Ted Fouquet and sister Alma Miller.
She is survived by two daughters, Janice Copeland and husband, Bill and Linda white and husband Rodney, all of Homer; 2 sons, Ray Alspaugh and wife Cindy of Shreveport, Louisiana and Joe Alspaugh and wife Jenny of Homer, Louisiana; 3 sisters, Jeanne Fouquet of Austin, Texas, Donna Getz and husband Dick of Austin, Texas and Mary Horsch of Enid, Oklahoma; 1 brother, Kent Fouquet and wife, Martha of Kansas City, Kansas; 11 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandson; numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
Our family would like to extend a special thanks to the Staff of Regional Hospice of Northwest Louisiana for their loving care and concern shown to our mother.
For friends considering memorials to honor Mrs. Alspaugh, her family suggests the St. Jude Children's Research Hospital in Memphis, Tennessee or the Methodist Children's Home in Ruston, Louisiana.
