Randy grew up and lived most of his life in southwest Iowa. He worked construction and loved to barter and trade. He always had a keen interest and collected WW II artifacts, books and souvenirs from that era.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Paul (Gramps) and Ethel Barker; and an infant sister, Peggy Maurine.
Survivors include his wife, Kim Barker of Bellevue, Nebraska; his step-children, Blake Schwartz of Hamburg, Iowa and Nickole Schwartz of Ames, Iowa; siblings, Jon Paul Barker and his wife Joanie of Jonesboro, Arkansas, James Robert Barker of Shenandoah, Iowa, Candy Bradley and her husband Mike of Reeds Spring, Missouri, Orville Barker of Salem, Oregon, Eric Barker and his wife Cindy of Sheridan, Oregon, Jay Barker and Roberta Moran of Bayard, Iowa, Penny Lockhart of Hamburg, Iowa; along with many other relatives and friends.
