YOUNG MOTHER IS SUMMONED
Mrs. Joseph Achimowicz Dies at Hospital --- Leaves Small Children
Sorrow invaded the home of Joseph Achimowicz, 1???E. Lundy street at eight o'clock, last evening, when his young wife and the mother of his three small children was claimed by death at St. Mary's hospital. Mrs. Achimowicz had been ill only a short time and the announcement of her passing came as a shock to her friends in the community.
Mrs. Achimowicz was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Stanislaw Provok, both of whom are deceased. As Victoria Provok she was born in Poland in 1897, and came to America shortly following her marriage with Mr. Achimowicz on November 14, 1922 (1923?). They were the parents of three children, Stella, five, Mary, four and Joseph, two, who with the grief stricken husband are left to mourn a mother's untimely passing.
Funeral services will be held from St. Casimir's church at nine o'clock on Wednesday morning and interment will take place in the Polish Catholic cemetery.
Mary was living with Joseph & Rose Prohovnik in Streator...close to Provok spelling, relatives??
