•JAMES BOLLINGER DIED FRIDAY
"Uncle Jim" Bollinger died at the home of his son, W.P. Bollinger, near Piedmont, at 6 o'clock last Friday afternoon. He was 69 years old. His death came suddenly, though it cannot be said that it was wholly unexpected, for while he had been able to be up and around, yet his health had been failing for some time and his friends had noted with a feeling of sadness that "Uncle Jim" was getting very feeble.
Mr. Bollinger was raised in Wayne County and was well known and highly esteemed for his many good qualities. He had long been a member of the Baptist Church and was a devoted Christian. He was left a widower several years ago and has since made his home with his only son, W.P. Bollinger.
The funeral was preached by Rev. H.M. Duncan, a number from this place attending the services. The body was buried at the old home place on Lake Creek, Sunday.
