Rosa (Jones) Camp Obit
Sister Rosa (Jones) Camp was born near Williams Center Ohio Nov 18, 1868 departed this life May 28, 1941, age 72 years 5 months, and 10 days. She was of a family of four children. Two preceded her in this great death march: Robert, eldest, died at the age of one year; Lilley passed away in 1922.
In 1901 she was united in marriage with Emanuel Camp, but this happy union was short. He too preceded her one year after marriage, in this great march. Most of her life was spent on her farm three miles east of Edon. At an early age she united with the Brethren Church at Williams Center and remained a faithful believer in the tenets of the church. She lived a quiet unassuming life, always ready to help, and busily engaged with her work.
She leaves to mourn their loss one sister Mrs. John Fetters and two sons of St. Joe, IN; cousins, Dr. Jay Jones of Chicago and Ellsworth Jones of Edon, and other relatives and friends.
‘Rest for the toiling hand,
Rest for the anxious brow;
Rest for the weary, wayworn feet,
Rest from all labor now."
Funeral services were held Sunday afternoon at the Meyers funeral home, conducted by Rev. H.L. Ludwick, and burial was in Farmer Center, June 1st (date hand written in).
