Aurel Jandreau Obituary
ST. FRANCIS - Aurel Jandreau, 90, beloved of the late Laura (Goslin) Jandreau, died June 24, 1999, at a Caribou hospital. He was born in St. Francis, March 10,1909, the son of Eugene and Melvina (Michaud) Jandreau. Aurel will be dearly missed by his family and friends. He worked as a woodchopper for Pinkham Lumber Inc. for many years and was a member of the Fort Kent VFW Post 9609 and life member of the American Legion in St. Francis. He is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Clifford (Joleen) Smart of Fort Kent, and Mrs. Philip (Valerina) Day of San Francisco, Calif.; one brother, Eugene Jandreau of St. John, two sisters, Bernice Melanson of Lewiston and Julienne Ouellette of St. Francis; five grandchildren and six greatgrandchildren, many nieces and nephews. Aurel was predeceased by his wife in 1986; two sisters, Ellen Jandreau in 1982 and Delia Jandreau in 1999 and one brother Jean Richard Jandreau in 1984. Friends may call at Daigle & Nadeau Funeral Home, Fort Kent, 7-9 p.m. Friday and Saturday 8 a.m. until time of departure for St. Francis. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Charles Catholic Church in St. Francis with the Rev. Claude Gendreau officiating. Committal services will follow will full military honors in St. Francis Catholic Cemetery. Those who wish may donate to the Visiting Nurses of Aroostook/Hospice of Aroostook, P.O. Box 688, Caribou 04736. Envelopes are available at the funeral home.
