Heart Seizure
Lindsey V. Almand, prominent and well-known Walton-County citizen, died suddenly at 8:30 p.m., Aug. 9, at his home at Good Hope. Death was attributed to a heart attack. Mr. Almand had not been ill and his sudden passing came as a profound shock to hundreds of friends and loved ones throughout Walton and adjoining counties.
Largely attended funeral services for Mr. Almand were conducted at 3 p.m. Thursday from the Bostwick Baptist Church. Burial followed in the church cemetery with the E. L. Almand Company in charge of arrangements.
A native of Morgan County, Mr. Almand was born April 1, 1868, the son of the late James P. and Sallie Almand. He was 87 years, four months and eight days old at the time of his death.
Mr. Almand had resided in Walton County for the past 83 and was one of the most respected citizens in this community. He was a member of the Bostwick Masonic Lodge and played and important role in all its affairs.
