Clarence E Abbe

Clarence E Abbe, 65, 109 South Tennessee, died today, May 10, at the Allen County Hospital where he had been a patient for the past seven months. Mr. Abbe had been in poor health seven years and seriously ill for seven months.

Mr. Abbe was born July 19, 1910 in Iola and had been a lifetime resident of Iola. On November 26, 1936, he was married to Ellen Vanderslice in Iola.

Mr. Abbe was a retired farmer. He was a member of the Iola Baptist Temple.

Survivors include Mrs. Abbe of the home; four sons, Albert Abbe, Camas, Washington, and George Abbe, Carl Abbe and Richard Abbe, all of Iola; two brothers, Howard Abbe and Paul Abbe, both of Camas, and seven grandchildren.

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday athe Friskel-Kinser Chapel. The Rev. Robert A. Mayes of Iola will officiate and burial will be in the Iola Cemetery. The Friskel-Kinser Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.
