Phyllis E. Bagley (1933-2010)

ODESSA, Texas-Phyllis E. "Hummel" Bagley 76 passed away Friday, November 12 th at Medical Center Hospital due to a short illness. She was born December 12, 1933 to Charles Leroy and Katy Hummel in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. She moved to Odessa in 1944 from San Francisco, California. Phyllis married Robert Lee Bagley February 19, 1950 in Odessa. They were married for 53 years before his passing. He was the love of her life. She was a homemaker in recent years but was a school bus driver for 12 years.

Phyllis was commonly referred to by many as "granny". She was loved and respected by all she came in contact with. She loved to spend time with her family and many friends. She was a member of Life-Change Baptist Church.

Phyllis was preceded in death by her husband Robert Lee Bagley, a son Charles W. Bagley Sr., her father Charles Leroy Hummel, her mother Katy Hummel and brothers Bobby Keith Hummel, and Jack Hummel.

Phyllis is survived by a son Phillip Bagley of Odessa, sister Mary Tyler of Odessa; grandson Charles W. Bagley Jr. and wife Debbie of Odessa; granddaughter Jolisa Bagley of Georgetown: granddaughter Evie Nelson of Austin, granddaughter Bridget Fisher and husband Billy of Irving; grandson Terry Halpain and wife Becky of Odessa; 10 Great grandchildren; Ashley Bagley, Ty Nelson, Aidan Bagley, Lane Fisher, Mitchell Halpain, Stephen Halpain, Anthony Halpain, Jacob Halpain, Makayla Halpain, and Terry Halpain Jr. and many nieces and nephews.
Family visitation will be held on Monday 6 to 8 p.m. at Frank W. Wilson Funeral Home. Services are scheduled for 11 a.m.Tuesday November 16, 2010 at Life-Change Baptist Church with Rev. Johnny Thomason and Kyle Rodgers officiating.

Burial will follow at Rosehill Cemetery. Services are entrusted to Frank W. Wilson Directors.
