Henry Beider was born in 1862 and married Lena Hoffmann (daughter of Joseph Hoffmann and Margaret Becker) on 30 December 1883. Henry died of pneumonia on 11 August 1893.

Death Certificate states that Henry was born in New York City and lived there his entire life. It also states his father was Philip * and mother was Mary both born in Germany.

* = I believe the father of Henry to be Felix. Either his father had two names or it was a mistake on his death certificate. I base this on DNA matching of the descendants of Henry with Caroline Beider and to the fact that all other references to the father have been Felix. Thus I am confident that the fathers name was Felix. It could also be that the name of his oldest child was given for the name of father since his oldest sons name is Philip. For several years I questioned this but after DNA proof and seeing the 1870 Census and directories, and other proof I am convinced now that Felix was the name of Henry's father since I know who Henry's siblings were and in all their paperwork Felix is listed as the father.
