Edward A. Sherrill, 82, of Cicero, died Saturday at Veterans Medical Center. He was born in North Carolina, lived in Syracuse his adult life, and retired to Florida in his later years. Edward was a core maker, working at several foundries in Syracuse. He was an Army veteran of WW II. Edward was predeceased by his wife, Jessie J. Sherrill, on February 29, 2000. Survivors: two daughters, Debra (George) Stanton of Baldwinsville and Kimberly (Tracy) Mattice of Cicero; two sons, Robbie (Sue) Sherrill of Camillus and Jeffrey (Jennifer) Sherrill of St. Petersburg, FL; a brother, Ralph O. Sherrill of Ft. Pierce, FL; seven grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren. Services: 11 a.m. Friday at Falardeau Funeral Home, Baldwinsville. Burial in Woodlawn Cemetery, Syracuse. Calling hours are 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home, 93 Downer Street. Contributions in his memory: VA Medical Center, 800 Irving Ave., Syracuse, NY 13210.
