Mrs. Cora Brown Slavin, 97, of Thompsons died in a Fort Bend hospital after a lengthy illness. Mrs. Slavin, who was born in Brazoria coujnty, had been a resident of Thompsons for 59 years. She was a member of the Methodist Church. Mrs. Slavin made her home in Thompsons with Mr. and Mrs. J.W. Hempil. Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Jesse George of Houston; two nieces, and five grand nieces.
