Patricia Ann Angel, 77, of Denver, passed away on November 11, 2012 in Wheat Ridge, Colorado, after a long term illness. Pat was preceded in death by her parents Vincent and Laura Angel, as well as her siblings Joseph Angel, Janet Cox, Alice Potthoff & Sue Masdin.
Pat was a Colorado native born in Denver. She was raised in North Denver and attended the Denver Public Schools. She excelled at math, art & choir. She graduated from North High School in 1954 and remained Denver proud for all her life.
Pat joined the workforce after graduation, and had small jobs in the neighborhood. In 1959, she found the opportunity to go into the growing world of computers. She was hired by the Henry Van Hummel Corporation and completed the data entry operator class taught by the IBM corporation school. She then had a long career in information technology; working for companies such as Henry Van Hummel, mobile home communities and Anshutz Inc., retiring in 1990.
Pat enjoyed several hobbies during her retirement. She kept busy with cooking different dishes, tending garden, sewing & caring for small animals. She especially loved cats and relished to tell people about her three favorite cats. Friskie (21 years), Lester (25 years) and Black Black (17 years) all of which had very long comfortable lives in her care.
Although she never married, Pat had enormous pride in her family and felt her nieces & nephews were her children. She is survived by Karen Leach of Grand Junction, CO., Craig Cox of Scottsdale, AZ., Vince Angel of Lochbuie, CO., Tammy Whittington of Lakewood, CO., Mary Kay Hunter of Elizabeth, CO., Jeanette Newman of Frost MN., and Albert Potthoff of Denver, CO. She also had numerous great nieces and nephews; as well as great great nieces and nephews.
