The many friends of Arthur W.
Bradley were shocked at the news of
his sudden death at 8:00 a. m. Friday July 31st, of apoplexy.
Mr. Bradley, son of the late Mr. and
Mrs. Henry Bradley, was born in
Waterford, Ontario, January 20. 1864.
He came to Saginaw, Michigan, when-
a small boy and a few years later;
moved to Clare County, where he has
since made his home.
He was married to Mable Virtue in
1903, Surviving him are his widow
and two sons, Harold V, and Donald
W., and one grandchild, of Clare. He
also leaves three sisters, Mrs. Allen
Bickford, and Mrs. Frank Killmer, of
San Bernardino, California,, and Mrs.
Richard Price, of Saginaw.
Sir. Bradley was a early pioneer of
Grant township. He helped to chop
the road that passed the farm which
he still o.wned. He, with his parents,
carved a home in the wilderness and
endured the many hardships such as"
forest fires;, etc. He was a strong
man and despite the many misfortunes of those days won himself a home,
Helping at logging bees and barn
raisings he was every ready to help
a neighbor. Besides the relatives he
leaves a host of friends.
Those who, attended the funeral
from. a distance were his sister; Mrs.
Richard. Price and husband, Melvin Price, Mr. and Mrs.,Lawrence Price;
Mr and Mrs Nelson Hall, Bernell
Price, Doris, and: Sheldon Price, all of
Saginaw... . .
A large 'number of friends attended
the funeral, which was held at the
home on Sunday 'afternoon, at. 2:00
oclock, with Rev Albert Daw the oficiating minister. intertnent was
at the Cherry Grove cemetery
