NY Vol.:transferred to Co. E, 86thReg. N.Y on Dec. 30th 1863, He was taken prisoner June 11, 1864 at Cold Harbor, Va. and was in the Andersonville (Libby) prison and Millen prison until Jan. 11, 1865. He received his final discharge from Co. E, 86th Reg. NY Vet. Vol at the rank of Sargt. He was missing part of one thumb as a result of his service. He was a proud member of the GAR
