Visitation will begin at 2 p.m. today at the Grieves Mortuary in Keokuk, where family will be present from 7 to 9 p.m. and a vigil service will begin at 7:30 p.m. Memorial donations will go to Keokuk Catholic Schools or the church.
Mr. Baker was born Nov. 30, 1913 in Atalissa, a son of Cecil R. and Mae E. Baker. He married Matilda Cole June 1, 1940 in St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Iowa City. He was a 1934 graduate of the University of Iowa College of Pharmacy. He was the owner of Baker’s Rexall Drug Store in Keokuk for 43 years.
Survivors include his wife, one son, Kevin of Keokuk, one daughter, Kathleen Stickney of Alpharetta, GA, four brothers Ben of Los Angeles, Cletus of Rockaway, NJ, Cecil of Las Vegas and Mathias of Etterick, WI, and one granddaughter.
His parents and one brother died earlier.
