Susie Jane Amos, 88, 24 Sep 1913 of Florence died Thursday, May 2, 2002, at Mitchell Hollingsworth Nursing Home in Florence.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. today, May 4, 2002, at Pinkard Funeral Home Chapel in Haleyville with burial in Friendship Cemetery in Double Springs.
Amos was a native of Winston County, but had lived in Killen for 30 years. She was a member of Primitive Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Henry Amos and daughter, Nina Faye Wright.
She is survived by two daughters, Mary Sue Herring of Killen and Linda Blackwell of Laurel, Miss.; two step-sons, Gordon Amos of Decatur and Kevion Amos of Selmer, Tenn.; two brothers, Robert L. Godsey of Killen and Ephriam H. Godsey of Birmingham; 10 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
