==================================
At Salt Lake City on Sunday, November 30, D. E. Albright, an old time resident of Poncha and Salida, passed away after an illness during which time he suffered from kidney trouble. Mr. Albright was born in Levi, Ill., on March 13, 1852. The body was brought to Salida and funeral services were held from Stewart's parlors on Thursday afternoon, Rev. Brakebill, officiating. The body was laid at rest in Fairview cemetery. Mr. Albright is one of the pioneers of this section and for years resided on a ranch just north of Poncha. For several years, however, he made his home elsewhere, and until very recently was located at Tobar, Nevada.
--The Salida Record (Salida, CO) Dec. 5, 1919
========================================
In the 1880 census, he lived in Poncha Springs, CO. He was single & was working as a butcher.
==============================================
In the 1900 census David was 47. It gives his birth date as Nov. 1853 but I know those aren't always reliable. He was married to Mary. Their children and ages at that time are:
Frank Albright (18)
Harry Albright (14) (This, I believe is their son Roy, as the year of birth would be the same)
Eugene Albright (12)
==================
It is listed on his death certificate that he was a widower when he died. If that is true, then the wife listed isn't the correct one, since she didn't die until 1928. Though in her obituary, it lists the same children. In the census records, they refer to her as "Mary," while the name of this wife listed on his page is "Nancy Jane." I believe that they are the same person. Any information to clear this up is welcome.
