RUTH BERNICE BROWN, 88, of Auburn, died Friday, March 11, 2005, at Wesley Health Care, Auburn. Born Dec. 27, 1916, of Delavan, Ill., she was the daughter of the late Elvan B. and Iva (Williams) Harvey. She was a homemaker and member of St. Mark's Lutheran Church, Auburn. She married Lester Brown on Dec. 1, 1935, in Fairbury, Ill. He died November 10, 2002. Surviving are two daughters, Alyce Uguccioni of Brooklyn, Mich. and Diane Brown of Nashville, Tenn.; four sons, Duane Brown of Columbia City, Ronald Brown of South Whitley, Danny Brown of Auburn and David Brown of Butler; 18 grandchildren; and many great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by two sons, Dean and Dale Brown; one grandson, Douglas Brown; four brothers, Paul, Leonard, Glenn and Ralph Harvey; and four sisters, Pernie Butler, Claire Weerts, Mary Holsclaw and Esther Harvey. Funeral service is 2 p.m. Monday at Feller Funeral Home, Waterloo. The Rev. Stephen Kummernuss officiating. Calling is from noon to 2 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. Burial at Woodlawn Cemetery, Auburn.
