Derrick James Adams, 29, Taswell, died Sunday, June 22, 2008, at 2:50 p.m. in Hawesville, Ky., as a result of a boating accident.
Born April 28, 1979, in Huntingburg, he was the son of Lenne and Rhonda Mason Adams of Taswell.
He was a collection systems foreman for Patoka Regional Water and Sewer, attended Anderson Valley Christian and Community Chapel churches, was a Little League coach, and was a member of Eckerty Masonic Lodge and the 4-H Counsel.
He was preceded in death by his grandfathers, Wilda Iris Mason and Hillard Jesse Adams.
Survivors besides his parents include his wife of six years, the former Daven Borden; three children, Noah, Abigail and Isaac Adams; two brothers, Christopher and Craig Adams, both of Taswell; and two grandmothers, Doris Mason and Ivolene Adams, both of Taswell.
Visitation: Wednesday, June 25, from 3 to 8 p.m., with a Masonic service at 7 p.m., and Thursday, June 26, after 9 a.m. at Denbo Funeral Home in English.
Funeral: Thursday, June 26, at 1 p.m. at the funeral home followed by burial in Taswell Cemetery.
Officiants: Brothers Ed Hetherington and Barry Adams.
