With one last breath and one fianl tear
our sweetheart, father, grandfather,
brother, & friend tenderly passed through
the veil surrounded by those who love him
most Friday, May 13, 2011.
Born to Bertha Whiting and Donald Howard
Bean March 24, 1926 in Provo, Utah, Howard
was one of eight children. Howard's childhood
and school years were spent in Price, Utah.
At the age of 17 Howard enlisted in the United
States Navy during WWII serving in the
South Pacific aboard the USS Sgt. Bay. Upon
his return Howard met and married his eternal
love, Connie Gay Christiansen September 12,
1947, their marriage was later solemnized in
the Salt Lake Temple May 4, 1950.
Howard & Connie established their home in
American Fork, Utah where they raised 3 sons.
Howard retired from Utah Power & Light
following 37 years of dedicated service.
As an active member of The Church of
Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Howard
served as Ward Clerk, Stake Clerk, and
Extraction Missionary prior to serving
with his favorite companion Connie in the
New Zealand Auckland Mission and the
Mount Timpangos Temple.
Howard is survived by his wife, brothers,
along with a strong posterity including his 3
sons, 10 grandchildren, 27 great grandchildren
with number 28 in waiting, along with 3 great granddaughters due this year. Howard was
prededed in death by his parents , sister
Vera, & brothers Don L. & James L.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday,
May 17, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. in the
American Fork 14th LDS Ward Chapel,
396 N. 1100 E. American Fork. Viewing,
Monday evening from 6-8 p.m. at the
Warenski Funeral Home 1776 N. 900 E.
American Fork and Tuesday at 10-10:45 a.m.
prior to the services at the church.
Interment: American Fork City Cemetery.
