Marguerite was born in the little town of Sentinel, Oklahoma. Her parents were divorced when she was only five, and she and her siblings remained with their father. She grew up with an older sister and brother and a hard-working, businessman-farmer father and was raised by a housekeeper.
Not much is know about her life. She seems to have spent some time in Hollywood and was an extra in several films.
Though Marguerite was married to Robert Boyd Phillips in 1972, she returned to her maiden name after their divorce.
Thereafter, it seems that she resided with her father at his ranch, and perhaps assisted in the hardware store.
Her life ended tragically, as she was shot in front of her father's hardware store in Eloy, Arizona. It seems to have been one of a series of 10 random killings of women. The suspected killer was never convicted for her murder, but he was convicted in 1980 for the murder of a housewife in Utah and sentenced to life in prison without the possibility of parole.
Hers was not a very happy life, and sadly, her death was totally senseless.
She rests beside her father, sister, and brother in the Bolon Family Plot.
