Eunice was born to Samuel "Sam" A. Wade and Elizabeth "Lizzie" Summers Wade. Sam was killed in a mine or quarry accident less than a year later.
Her mother married again in 1879 to Sam's brother, Dan, who raised Eunice and her siblings and was the only father she knew. She had one brother, Henry Clayton, and three step sisters and one step brother.
She married Eddie C Clark on Oct. 10, 1899 and together they raised six children, Mary Elizabeth, William Clarence, Eugene Edward, Ralph Daniel, Mildred Dorcas, and Glynn Edward.
Eunice is remembered as a wonderful cook and fine baker, and during the hard times of the recession, Mildred and her brothers sold baked good to order to their neighbors. Her husband, Eddie, was a blacksmith and as times changed, worked as a tool dresser for a quarry and for Curtis Tool Co., in St. Louis.
When they retired, they moved to a farm in Troy, Lincoln Co, Missouri where they raised peaches and apples and enjoyed the county life.
Their last few years were lived with her son, Ralph and his wife, Mae. They lived in Overland,St. Louis co, where she passed away.
She is buried alongside her husband, Eddie, and other family members in Memorial Park, Jennings, St Louis County, Missouri.
