Bertha Giese "Hunsie" Abbott, 78, of Lancaster died Monday, January 22, 2007. She was the widow of Marvin Eugene Abbott and daughter of the late James Huling, Sr. and Bertha Gill Giese. She was a member of Trinity Episcopal Church and retired Lancaster County Circuit Court Clerk.
Surviving are two daughters and sons-in-law, Teresa and Lee Gill of Weems, Nan and David Alga of Clarksville; five grandchildren, Kelsey and Lauren Haydon, Nadia Rogers and husband, Kevin, Jonathan and Dustin Alga; a sister, Ida G. Giese of Capital Heights, Md; two brothers, William G. Giese of Fayetteville, Arkansas and Tim Giese of Kilmarnock. She was preceded in death by a brother, J. Huling Giese, Jr. and two sisters, Daisie G. Cooper and Nannie M. Giese.
Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m. Thursday, January 25 at Trinity Episcopal Church, Lancaster with Rev. Marion Paul White officiating. Interment will be in Historic Christ Church Burying Ground, Irvington. Pallbearers will be Kelsey Haydon, Jonathan Alga, Dustin Alga, Kevin Rogers, Craig Giese and Ronnie Gooding.
