Funeral for Felix Bailey BETTERTON, 78, of Shady Oaks Lodge will be at 2:30 p.m. Wednesday in Tuscola United Methodist Church. Mr. BETTERTN died at 11:10 p.m. Sunday at Hendrik Memorial Hospital after a long illness.

Layman Bill ALEXANDER, former pastor, will officiate. burial will be in Tuscola Cemetery under direction of Fry Funeral Home. The body will be at Elliott-Hamil Funeral Home in Abilene until 7 a.m. Wednesday then will be taken to Fry Funeral Home.

Pallbearers will be J. B. JORDAN, Forrest REYNOLDS, John STOCKTON, Hugh STOCKTON, Bobby SAYLES and L. O. GROVES.

Born Sept. 28, 1895, at Alma, Ark., he moved to Abilene from Tuscola in 1967. He was a member of the Tuscola United Methodist Church.

Survivors are his wife,, Bell of 1935 Simmons; three daughters, Mrs. Bertha Mae JOHN of 1022 Graham, Mrs. Rosa NEBHUT of McKinney, and Mrs. Mamie CARTER of San Angelo; two sisters, Mrs. Al BARTER of Dallas and Mrs. Charles DAY of Gorman; two stepdaughters, Mrs. Irene SANDERS of 1935 Simmons and Mrs. Lucille HIGGS of Hamlin; three stepsons, Ted HINES of Rule, Jake HINES of Novice and Jack HINES of Fort Worth; seven grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
