Troy B. Allen, 67, of Route 1, Covington Highway in Jackson died Monday morning at Georgia Baptist Medical Center.
The funeral was held at 2 p.m. May 23 at Worthville Baptist Church, with the. Revs. Ben Stone, Marty Duren, and Preston Bridges officiating. Burial was in the church cemetery.
Mr. Allen was born in Newton County to the late Jim and Bell Allen. He was the husband of the late Mildred Townsend Allen.
A World War II Army veteran. Mr. Allen was retired from Georgia Highway Express Co., and he was a member of Worthville Baptist Church.
Survivors include his sons and daughters-in-law, John and Jean Allen of Lithonia, Neal and Diane Allen, and Pam and Joy Allen, all of Jackson; grandchildren, Cheryl and Matt Allen, and Haley, Jason, Clay and Amber Allen; sisters, Madge Jeffers of McDonough, Ethel Kitchen and Nell Bryant of Covington; several nieces and nephews.
