Son of Marion and Edna Siebert.    James R. Siebert 1933 - 2001
    Longtime Montgomery, IL. resident, James R. Siebert, 67, died Thursday in Rush-Copley Hospital after a long illness.
    Mr. Siebert was born March 7, 1933 in Pittsburg, IL., the son of the late Marion Siebert and Edna Benefiel Siebert. He had worked for Western Electric for more than 36 years, retiring in 1992. Mr. Siebert was a member of Montgomery VFW Post 7452, Yorkville American Legion Post 489 and was a U.S. Navy veteran.
    Survivors include his children, Craig Siebert of Montgomery, Keyna Siebert of Arizona, Jeanne (Rodney) Gibson of Oswego and James (Danielle) Siebert of Bloomington; one step daughter, Michelle (Brad) Ozimek of Arizona; one brother, Gary Siebert of Mulberry Grove; five sisters, Betty (Julian) Thoman of Tuscola, Wanda (Orville) Mahon of Salem, Mary Cole of Vandalia, Connie (Bob) Bingham of Florida and Carolyn Thompson of Vandalia; six grandchildren, Kayle, Cody and Miranda Siebert, Amber and Emily Ozimek and Christina Gibson; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
    Mr. Siebert was preceded in death by one brother, Robert Siebert and one sister, Marjorie Bailey.
    A Memorial Celebration will be held on Sunday, January 14, 2001 at 2:00 PM at the Veterans of Foreign War Memorial Post 7452, 121 N. River Road in Montgomery.
    There will be no other services, the body has been cremated. If desired, memorial contributions may be made to any charity in Mr. Siebert's name.
    Arrangements were handled by Dieterle Memorial Home, 1120 S. Broadway, Montgomery.
